Unlike an isolated peptide, this blend consists of multiple amino acids that can be evaluated together in controlled research settings. BPC-157 has been studied for several mechanisms in models of tissue repair and remodeling. One of its primary actions is promoting angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels. BPC-157 has also been examined for neuroprotective effects, including effects on nerve-cell survival and repair. This has been studied in models of nerve damage or degeneration.
Furthermore, BPC-157 has been shown to interact with the nitric oxide (NO) system, which plays a role in various physiological processes, including blood vessel dilation and tissue repair. Its modulation of the NO system has been examined in relation to blood flow and tissue repair.
